The Clam AI ("we", "us", "our") provides a conversational AI platform for the hospitality industry. You can contact us at hello@theclamai.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide our service:
- Business contact data — name, email address, phone number of business owners who sign up.
- Guest message data — WhatsApp message content processed on behalf of our business clients to generate AI responses.
- Usage data — anonymised analytics on how our dashboard is used (page views, feature usage).
3. How we use your data
- To deliver and improve the AI assistant service.
- To respond to support requests and communications.
- To send service-related notifications (no marketing without opt-in).
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with sub-processors necessary to operate the service (e.g., cloud hosting, AI inference providers) under strict data processing agreements. We will disclose data to law enforcement only when legally required.
5. Data retention
Guest conversation data is retained for 90 days by default, configurable per business client. Business account data is retained for the duration of the contract plus 30 days after termination.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@theclamai.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
Our marketing site uses no tracking cookies. Our dashboard uses only strictly necessary session cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will notify clients by email 14 days in advance. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
